LFM Spotlight – Royalty Towing, the 702 Tow King!

Las Vegas’ Tow King!
Welcome to the latest edition of our LFM Spotlight Series! Today, we had the pleasure of interviewing Mr. Eddie Gonzalez, the founder and owner of Royalty Towing.
Nicknamed the “702 Tow King”, Mr. Gonzalez has surrounded himself with cars at an early age. He was the one to turn to when his high school friends were drag racing and breaking their cars down since he had a truck and dolly to tow them. After getting more and more clients, he then turned his passion into a career where he was taking larger tasks of towing exotic and rare cars nationwide.
Mr. Gonzalez’s fuel to his company is his passion to help others in need of a tow along with his reliable reputation. His main goal is to build a self sustaining tow business so that his son can take over.
From towing Bentleys and 720s to Daily Driven Exotics’ Huracan, Royalty Tow Company clearly has an immaculate reputation to be on time, high class deilvery, and great services. With clients talking about his business, and the word of mouth spreading rapidly, Mr. Gonzalez most definately earned the title of being the 702 Tow King!
Tell us a little about yourself and the start of Royalty Towing?
It was started for the plain reason of giving my son William security by owning our own company. I used my talent and passion that I brought to Las Vegas for many years dealing with exotics and lowered cars to starting my own company to share with my son (sounds cheesy but true!)
What was your experience with cars and how did it help you to create Royalty Towing?
I’ve been towing lowered cars since high schol when all my friends used to go to street races. I was the one in the group with a truck and dolly to tow the hondas and other cars home with broken axles, and other parts. It developed into a job which then developed into a career fueled by my brother-in-law that introduced me to the legalities of the industry and kinda just grew into a career from there.
Any obstacles you had to face while building your company?
Many obstacles occur when trying to start a company. I can get into a whaa whaa story but in the end, when you are passionate about something and you know it’s going towards a great cause, my son, you will succeed by any means necessary and go against all odds to achieve your goals.
You are not only the ‘Tow King’ in Vegas but you are the go-to tow company that spans across the West Coast with large companies, high earned clients, and dealerships. How important it is to develop this trust when they ask you for your service?
Man I tell you, it is very important to get trust but that’s where passion burns. Every deal is like the first opportunity given to you. You have to stay hungry and never get comfortable. I am not motivated by financial gain. The money comes when you’re the best at what you do. The most important aspect is reputation. That is the only thing that matters to me. I love and have enjoyed the fact that we have built this company by pure referrals and hard work. It brings me pride when someone has a specialty car and your name is the only name thrown around in the conversation. We try to be our own competition. That’s how I train my crew and how we act every day to stay ahead of the rest.
What makes your towing business stand out among the rest in the West Coast?
The best example of us that inspired our work ethic is the Marine Corporation. Their slogan, “Semper Fidelis”, means always faithful. We are the smallest but the best in our field and are always faithful. When we say we will deliver, we stop at nothing to make our customers happy. You know your car will arrive on time and in the same condition you released it to us.
Through the success that you have in your business so far, are there any wild or funny towing stories that you would like to share?
Yes the lastest one involved Diko S. from Giovanna Wheels. He allowed us to handle four Demons from across the US to be delivered to him and when one was stuck in Phoenix, Arizona, I personally drove from Vegas to Phoenix, then to Costa Mesa which in total kept me awake for about 30+ hours (LMAO!). Again, I gave him my word and my reputation is the only thing that counts.
